As everyone has difficulties, computers seem to slow down over time. This may be caused by many things, but there are some simple ways to do this slow computer to perform as it is new. You can always use a computer to a local repair shop computer, but here are some tips that you can use your computer to speed it a bit.
1. Check your computer for viruses. A good antivirus program can keep your computer safe from viruses, but they do not always catch 100% of all the latest threats. Even if you have antivirus software installed and running, try running another free of viruses. One of them can get TrendMicro or by downloading the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Malwarebytes does a great job detecting and removing infections, and it’s free to start the scan. Of course, any antivirus program is only as good as the last update, so always make sure that your antivirus software current with the current anti-virus definitions and program updates.
2. Remove programs you do not use anymore. You can see what programs are installed, go to Control Panel and going to “Add / Remove Programs” icon in Windows XP. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, you can access the same list, go to Control Panel, and then clicking on “Remove Programs” under “Programs” tab. Not all software is bad however, so if you are not sure that a certain piece of software, it is best to Google it or leave it alone.
3. Disable some startup programs. Programs installed on your computer to start to love when your computer is, and it may take a lot of computer resources to download these programs. A good way to access the list of running programs with the help of the Microsoft Configuration Utility. You can open this by holding down the Windows key on your keyboard and pressing the d key on your keyboard. He will open the “Run” prompt, where you’ll type MSConfig, and then click Run. In the Startup tab, now you can remove any program you want to disable automatic startup when your computer is doing.
